So beautiful

So Jo and I went to the wedding of Jes and Alex last fall and we loved so many things about the wedding. When discussing weddings, we most frequently would revert to “like Jes and Alex” did. Anyway, Jes has posted pictures and details here: http://oncewed.com/index.cfm?catID=38

Our only complaint was that it was far away in Maine and it would be impossible to get our families all the way up yonder. Otherwise we’d do it at Berry Manor Inn.

I should also point out that I basically want a cake like theirs with the minor exception of a different topper (one with owls of course!).  I was totally taken back when reading that the decor came from a kit created by Wendy Kromer and apparently we can order a kit with all the little decorations. I’m going to let my mom make all the little acorns and leaves for ours, but I was interested to know this: http://www.wendykromer.com/shop/product_info.php/cPath/27/products_id/42

We have a ceremony site!

So the $240 I paid for the cermony site is non-refundable, so here’s hoping we get the venue and all’s a go. This is Larz Anderson Park in Brookline. We’ve reserved the ‘Temple of Love’ which not only has the gazebo, but allows chairs. They don’t mind if we have lovely tunes from one amazing guitarist, provided it’s not amplified. Since they have picnics there, I think we could even have some beverages (non-alcoholic of course).

These are pictures I stole off the internets.
